Planetary Logic Controls LLC d/b/a Electric Astrology ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
2. Information We Collect
A. Astrological Data
To generate your natal chart and planetary transits, we collect your date of birth, precise time of birth, and city of birth.
B. Biometric & Health Data
Personal Signal participation is optional. Only after you give separate in-app permission and grant operating-system permission, the mobile app may read heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, heart rate, sleep, and steps from Apple Health or Health Connect. The app uploads selected samples, timestamps, source and device provenance, quality metadata, and timezone or local-time context to our secured Google Cloud systems to calculate your private baseline, trends, and contextual insights. We do not read health categories you do not authorize, write to your health record, use health data for advertising, or sell health data. This release does not copy raw, account-linked measurements into a research dataset. You may disconnect at any time to stop future collection and may delete previously collected data by deleting your account or submitting a deletion request.
C. Behavioral & Engagement Data
We collect data regarding your behavioral preferences and engagement patterns within the Service to refine our algorithms and improve personalization.
D. Calendar Data
If you use the "Calendar Sync" feature, we access your device calendar to overlay space weather events. We do not read the content of your private appointments unless required to provide the Service.
E. Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized, aggregated information about how visitors use the Service, including pages visited, session duration, and general geographic region (country or state). We do not use GA4 to identify you personally. Google's processing of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
F. AI Processing Data
When you interact with Ganymede (our AI assistant) or request a personalized horoscope, we transmit relevant context to Google's Gemini API to generate your response. This context includes your natal chart positions, current space weather conditions, and dashboard state. We do not transmit your name or email address as part of these requests. Google's processing of API data is governed by the Google Cloud Privacy Notice.
G. Order & Shipping Data
If you purchase a physical book, we collect your name, shipping address, and order details to fulfill your purchase. This information is shared with our print and fulfillment partners (Lulu Press and Bookvault) solely for the purpose of producing and shipping your order. Payment card data is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
H. Email Communications
We collect your email address during registration and use it to send account verification emails, order confirmations, and shipping notifications. With your consent, we may also send newsletters and product updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
I. User Content & Attachments
When you use Ganymede or other interactive features, we collect the messages, prompts, notes, photos, and documents you choose to submit. This content and relevant dashboard context may be transmitted to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. Do not upload information you do not want processed for that request.
J. Subscription & Purchase Data
Apple, Google Play, Stripe, and RevenueCat process purchases and provide us with product, transaction, subscription-status, and entitlement information. We use that information to activate paid features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide support. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number from those providers.
K. Device, Notification & Diagnostic Data
We may collect app version, platform, update channel, push-notification tokens, feature interactions, error messages, and technical diagnostics needed to deliver alerts, secure accounts, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability. We do not use this information for third-party advertising.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Calculate your personalized "Electric Stress Score" and planetary dashboard.
- Generate AI-powered horoscopes and chat responses via Google's Gemini API.
- Send account verification, order confirmation, and shipping notification emails.
- Send marketing newsletters and product updates (with your consent).
- Fulfill and ship physical book orders via our fulfillment partners.
- Measure site usage and improve the Service using aggregated analytics data.
- Aggregate product insight: If and when the Collective Pulse feature is enabled, we will use only the minimum privacy-protected aggregate outputs needed to provide and improve that visible feature.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
- Infrastructure Providers: We share data with service providers necessary to operate the Service, including Google (Firebase hosting, authentication, Firestore, environmental data processing, Health Connect, and Gemini AI), Apple (HealthKit, authentication, and in-app purchase), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Stripe (web payment processing). These providers process data to provide services to us under their applicable terms and privacy commitments.
- Fulfillment Partners: If you purchase a physical book, we share your name and shipping address with Lulu Press and/or Bookvault solely to produce and ship your order.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage. Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated before transmission.
- Aggregate disclosures: We may share aggregate product findings that cannot reasonably identify an individual. We do not sell health data or personally identifiable data, and we do not share health data for advertising.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
We retain account-linked personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service. If you delete your account, associated active-system data - including birth data, chat history, calendar data, biometric samples, biometric digests, and account-linked legacy biometric rows - is scheduled for deletion immediately and normally completes within 48 hours. We may retain records required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, subscription, or physical-order obligations. Aggregate outputs that cannot reasonably be linked to you may be retained to operate and improve a visible Collective Pulse feature.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. The Service runs on Google Firebase infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, and database access is restricted by per-user security rules. Payment card data is processed entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your personal data using commercially reasonable measures.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you live, we extend the following rights to all users:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may update your profile and birth data at any time in your account settings, or ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion: You may delete your account in the mobile app under Menu > Settings > Delete Account, or submit a request through our account deletion page. Associated data is handled as described in Section 5.
- Marketing opt-out: You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send.

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children and is intended only for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will delete that data and terminate the associated account promptly. 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
